I used this simple pillow box tutorial to create this little pillow box to hold some tea for a swap. This one is Classic Pooh-themed, so I found some honey-flavored tea to put into it. I drew a honeycomb pattern on it.

Last year for Captain Picard Day (come on, you know you celebrated it too) I made a mini Horga’hn statue for my partner in a swap, among other items. Took a bit of mixing to get the right color brown, and it took days to dry. At one point, it got knocked over and I had to rebuild and reshape it. And parts kept collapsing. Clearly, this thing would have been a lot better made of wood and not play-dough. But, in the end, I think it turned out all right.
Here’s the first wand I’ve ever actually finished. I made it for a Hufflepuff in a Harry Potter care package swap I was in a few months ago. I’m pretty happy with it.
I’ve made a few different sets of these dragon eggs in a wooden chest for Game of Thrones swaps and another as a present for my father (note: not a wedding present). They’re a lot of fun to make, and I can make each one unique with different types of dragons and colors of eggs.
Sticking with me partially scary theme of crafts this October, here are two ATCs I made for the X-Files. They were of two of my swap-bot partner’s favorite episodes. I designed them to look like FBI case files and actually cut up a real manila file folder to make them. I typed up descriptions and made fake little Polaroid photos for the inside as well. They are possibly the most fun I’ve ever had with ATCs!
It being October, I looked for scary crafts to showcase here and didn’t come up with too much.
So here are my favorite boys out hunting demons in their little impala matchbox.
I used lots of different shots of the impala from the show, resized, and fit them together to form the car. Inside is a devil’s trap and supplies needed for a good salt & burn.
Sometimes I will pin things on my Ideas & Inspirations Pinterest board with every intention of trying my hand at that project or something similar to it at least. But every so often I come across a craft that is so amazing I could never hope to duplicate it.
Here’s an ATC I made of Dawn from Buffy the vampire slayer.
The quote I used was: “I could so save the world if somebody handed me superpowers!” ~Dawn Summers
Here’s a spot for socks without matches to find a most important home: with house elves.
This was another craft inspired by several different versions I saw on Pinterest. I made this for a swap, but I also wanted to make one for my local Harry Potter group because we’re having a tea in honor of Dobby (and his tea cozy). But I made mine more general for any house elf that needs freeing.
