Top Ten: Stories I Want JKR to Write

Thanks to fanfiction, I’ve been able to explore the characters and world of Harry Potter. I’ve come up with a lot of good headcanon for most of these, but that doesn’t mean I still don’t wish for more books written by JKR.

Top Ten Stories I Want J.K. Rowling to Write

  1. Marauders Era 7-book series- while I got the “train to Hogwarts” meeting scene that I’d been desperately wanting for so many years, I still want a whole book series with the Marauders, Lily, and Snape.
  2. The First War- I would love detailed account of the Order vs. the Death Eaters from the first war, including getting to know the Longbottoms and finally finding out how Regulus Black learned about Voldemort’s Horcruxes and why he decided to set out to destroy them.
  3. The Founding of Hogwarts- I want to see Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff at their finest moments, deciding to put together the school
  4. Durmstrang- an all-boys (depending on canon) magic school run by a somewhat eccentric, former death eater that Gellert Grindelwald attended? Yeah, I need more of that.
  5. American Magical School- for that matter let’s have a book series set in the American magical school system. Whole new set of characters and a lot of differences, culturally.
  6. Dragon Reserve- the Romanian dragon reserve is one of my favorite places to set fanfics, and I’d probably be disappointed that the “real” version doesn’t match my mental images of it. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want it. LOL
  7. The Trio in the Ministry- I want all the drama of rebuilding wizarding society after the wars, rounding up dark wizards, Hermione’s crusade for creatures’ rights, etc. Plus, I’d never say no to more Kingsley.
  8. Remus’ Dark Years- I love me some Remus Lupin; you know that. So what the heck did he get up to for 13 years after he lost all his friends and before he took that DADA professor position at Hogwarts? That’s a long time to go without a job. I need details.
  9. Tom Riddle’s Diary- I want his entire diary, every memory and adventure and innermost thought
  10. The Next Generation- okay, I know, but I still had to put it on the list. You know if JKR wrote stories about Albus, James, Lily, Rose, Hugo, and Scorpius you’d read them too. you know you would!
