12 Days of Fandom Ornaments: #12

My Christmas tree is a mix of ornaments from my childhood and ones from later on in my life. Many of them are related to my favorite fandoms, naturally. I thought I would showcase one every other day in December in a 12 Days of Fandom Ornaments series.

Day 12: Spots!

101 Dalmatians is my favorite Disney movie. One of the pups gets a place on my tree.

Thing Thursday: Wand & Card

This year for my birthday, my coworkers appealed to my fandomy nature and gave me this great Star Trek-themed birthday card. They also gave me this great glowy wand because I eyed some of the glow wands that the little girls (who were, we presumed, going to Disney Princesses on Ice) in Minneapolis had.

When I sat down to write the list of my top 30 fandoms, I found the task terribly hard. How do I choose just 30? My apologies to all my beloved fandoms left off the list. I’m using random.org to determine what fandom gets what day.

Craft: Matchbox Book

This was my first matchbox book. My partner really liked Disney, so that’s the theme I went with when making it. The drawers open up to reveal Disney stickers. I recolored the photo slightly to work with the background paper color scheme.

How do you make a double matchbox book? It’s pretty simple. Cut out paper that’s a little more than twice as long as two matchbooks, lay the matchboxes out and paste the paper so it looks like a book. Then decorate. I followed this tutorial when making mine.

Top Ten: Kisses

In honor of Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d come up with a list of some (big & small) screen kisses. This time, I thought I’d characterize them to emphasize that these are in no order and not necessarily my top ten favorites.
