Another license plate to celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day (September 19) a little early. I especially love the ship imagery as well. Well done!

Not exactly a fandom, but September 19 is Talk Like a Pirate Day and Pirates of the Carribean is one of my fandoms, so I’m counting this (especially as I don’t think I ever got a photo of the Captain Sparrow license plate that used to be in my old neighborhood–on a black car).
This one is just so much fun to say!
And, yes, September 19 is also Hermione’s birthday, but I just did a Harry Potter one in July, so I’m going for some variety here.
Apparently, I skipped a craft post! Here it is, a little late: a Captain Jack Sparrow ATC. It was for one part of a series of Johnny Depp characters; this was the only swap in the series I joined.
I created and/or cut out these small elements and it felt like I was scrapbooking on a smaller scale here š I had a hard time finding a map I liked and coloring it to fit my scheme.
For the month of April, I’m breaking out of my usual “format” and showcasing one of my favorite fandoms a day, so I will have shiny things to make me smile every day of my birthday month. When I sat down to write the list of my top 30 fandoms, I found the task terribly hard. How do I choose just 30? My apologies to all my beloved fandoms left off the list. Iām using random.org to determine what fandom gets what day.
My Christmas tree is a mix of ornaments from my childhood and ones from later on in my life. Many of them are related to my favorite fandoms, naturally. I thought I would showcase one every other day in December in a 12 Days of Fandom Ornaments series.
A friend gave me this Hallmark ornament for Christmas back in 2006. It depicts one of my favorite moments in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie, because it’s also a great moment in the Disneyland ride. When the button on it is pressed a long, recognizable portion of the “A Pirate’s Life for Me” song plays. Last year, the battery ran down, so I need to replace it.
Fangirl that I am, I like to position the ornament near a hallway or place where I walk by so I can see the backside of the ornament. Hey, if they go to all that trouble showing Johnny Depp’s character bending over, I’m not going to let that go to waste.
