Apparently, I skipped a craft post! Here it is, a little late: a Captain Jack Sparrow ATC. It was for one part of a series of Johnny Depp characters; this was the only swap in the series I joined.

I created and/or cut out these small elements and it felt like I was scrapbooking on a smaller scale here 🙂 I had a hard time finding a map I liked and coloring it to fit my scheme.
I just realized I forgot to write a Top Ten list this week! Oops! Better late than never. The topic of this list was suggested by one of my blog followers (thanks so much).

But I hope that I’m there for my friends the way John is for his. My friends definitely draw me out though, so there is that. I just haven’t helped diffuse any bombs lately.
Eeyore listens to the famous author Alex Haley read to students in Annapolis, Maryland. I went on a photo tour and took a photo of this statue after the tour. My instructor walked by and told me to get down. I’ve got to admit, the photo came from a much better perspective. Plus, Eeyore got more time to listen 🙂

Harry Potter is one of my main fandoms, and its books and movies have given me entertainment, wisdom and concepts worthy of great thought, and all sorts of emotional rewards (not even counting great fanfiction). But there are some other, unexpected things that have come with the stories.

Thoughts: I am fairly certain I’ve filled this quiz out before, but I can’t remember what I got that time. So… yeah. Ron. Cute and loyal… I could see that. I could handle this. And, hey, who doesn’t want to be a Weasley? 🙂
I spent last week ranting about what didn’t work for me in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. And while it is still probably my least favorite of all the movies in this current franchise, there was definitely things I loved about it. So to balance out my rantings from last week, here are some of the things I loved.

The fingers and teeth were the hardest part–so intricate and small. But I think it turned out all right in the end.
As a Lord of the Rings fangirl, I loved The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. But it is my least favorite of all the movies. The first Hobbit movie was so much better in my eyes, even though it gives my friends fits when I say so. I saw the movie twice in theaters and still didn’t feel like I could write a proper review. I felt so let down during the movie. It’s full of great moments I loved (see next week’s list), but my overall feeling each time I walked out of theaters was disappointment. So I waited until I could watch it again at home before writing up a list.
