By now, you probably noticed that I like a lot of fandoms. So I thought I’d try this quiz.
Quiz: Which Fandom Do You Belong To?
Thoughts: Hrmm. I liked the Hunger Games, sure. But it’s far from my favorite fandom.

Quiz: Which Fandom Do You Belong To?
Thoughts: Hrmm. I liked the Hunger Games, sure. But it’s far from my favorite fandom.
This was my first matchbox book. My partner really liked Disney, so that’s the theme I went with when making it. The drawers open up to reveal Disney stickers. I recolored the photo slightly to work with the background paper color scheme.
How do you make a double matchbox book? It’s pretty simple. Cut out paper that’s a little more than twice as long as two matchbooks, lay the matchboxes out and paste the paper so it looks like a book. Then decorate. I followed this tutorial when making mine.
Lots of times, people will ask me if I’ve seen a certain show, and I usually reply that it’s on my list. And every time I do a 101 Things in 1001 Days list, I include some of the shows on my list to ensure that I’ll actually make myself watch them (which is why I’ve now finally seen Oz, Teen Wolf, and Veronica Mars). But what’s still on my list?
So… this just happened to my DVD bookshelf:
I bought Otter!Sherlock online from a wildlife fund place using a groupon. I bought Hedgehog!John in Seattle on my last day there. They are the best of friends, but they need a scarf the can get tangled in. Which sounds like a new knitting project for me… and I still haven’t finished making stuffed Moony’s scarf! Hmm. Accessorizing my adorable stuffed animal versions of characters. THIS is the kind of fangirl I am. (Read: a happy one. Look how cute they are! heehee)
I decided to try to post a different fannish license plate every month (on the 8th of the month, as that’s when I posted the one last month). I’ve seen this one twice now: once here, on the street, and once in a parking lot at night.
Awesome car. I desperately need to be friends with this person.
Thought I’d try something new. Here’s Fandom Quiz Friday.
Quiz: Which Firefly Character Are You?
Thoughts: Um, yep. I accept that.
A pair of reviews…

I recently went to Seattle for work (okay, as I’m typing this, I’m still in Seattle, stranded because of cancelled flights and a foot of snow back home, but maybe I’ll be home by the time this scheduled post goes live). I didn’t get much time to explore the city, but I did purchase a few fandom items… because that’s just how I roll.
Also, two of these items might be presents for one of my online friends whose username might be abbreviated L.K. So don’t read this if that’s you or you will be spoiled!
Every other Thursday, I’ve been posting crafts. I’m going to try to make one of those posts each month an ATC.
So here’s my Super Mario Brothers ATC. It was the only one I did out of a series of classic video games. Super Mario Brothers was my first real video game love as a kid (I saved my babysitting money and allowance all summer to buy a Nintendo system).
I found some images of the baddies and reduced them in size as well as cutting out the backgrounds. After printing them on cardstock, I carefully trimmed around the edges (some shapes were easier than others… I think I clipped one of the koopa troopa’s wings–oops!). I drew in the background and then glued the characters on in a fun arrangement. Sadly, it’s going to be pretty impossible for Mario to get out of this situation I put him in, but I’d like to see him try!
I picked up a Mario Brothers trading card pack at the store for $1 and used one of them as the base of the card. I like doing that with ATCs and leaving some of the original card showing on the back.
And not the good kind of crying, either. This is a list of ways Joss Whedon broke my heart. But he’s so damn good at it, I can’t help but love him. Not a single tear went to waste, though. Like he says, he gives us what we need, not what we want.
BEWARE: SO MANY SPOILERS IN THIS LIST! SO MANY! ALL THE SPOILERS! BEWARE!
