This is one of many historical buildings I found during my trip to Denver, Colorado in 2010. This victorian style building is the Union Warehouse, now called the Hotel Barth. It was built in 1882 and added to the National Register of Historic Places one hundred years later on June 3, 1982.

Quiz: What Lego Movie Character are You?
Answer: Emmet

You want to be popular, but you have a hard time standing out in the crowd. Being ordinary though, might just make you extraordinary.
Thoughts: Okay, I would have thought Emmet was too brave to be my result. But the description here actually fits me just fine 🙂 I’m okay with this. I don’t really want to be popular, but I do want to be liked. so that’s close. I do really love following directions. If I had to choose a character I’m closest to… I’d probably have to choose Mrs. Scratchen-Post. LOL
Sometimes things happen that make me put shows I love on hold. This could happen due to my DVR eating episodes and I don’t realize it until I try to start watching, or because I just lose interest. I fully intend to get back to all of these one day.
Quiz: Which Outlander Character Are You?
Answer: Gellis Duncan

Beautiful, with bright green eyes that span the centuries of her offspring, Gellis is a time traveler, intent of aiding Bonnie Prince Charlie in the rising of 1745, She uses herbs to aid and injure; manipulating circumstances to her advantage, always. She befriends Clarie to learn more about her, yet provides an ill wish when asked. She is only concerned with herself.
Thoughts: Oh really? I wouldn’t know how to manipulate circumstances to my advantage if my life depended on it! And self-centered, she is! And crafty! Okay, yes, I’d probably be a Jacobite supporter and it would be neat to be a time traveler, especially one with some magic on my side. But I hope that there are more ways I’m different from Gellis than ways we are the same.
This was a strange quiz. Not too many choices, some of which were terribly obvious, and a few strange questions. The last question, especially, was strange/wrong.
What character am I like? Ian Alastair Robert MacLeod Murray (senior). I always identified with Ian.
My swap partner in a Sherlock swap mentioned liking stuffies. And I was getting a little tired of making Sirius stuffies and Baskerville hound stuffies. I thought to make this into a stuffie a while back, but never had a reason. This was it!
Thus, I made a Moriarty apple stuffie:
I feel like the letters are a little more squished than they should be, but otherwise it came out rather nicely and it was fun to make!
Okay, once again I fail at a Top Ten list and had to go Top Fifteen. I don’t see anyone complaining. There is so much fannish goodness that comes out of somewhere like a LEGO fan convention and so much creativity. I couldn’t help but admire more than just ten! Despite being numbered, these are really in no particular order. Click on the photos for bigger versions, please! These previews are somewhat blurry and don’t do them justice. Seriously, click on them for a proper look. Trust me. Also, the titles are my own in most but not all cases, because I have to call them something and not all the MOC cards came out in my photos.
Quiz: Which YA Dystopian Heroine Are you?
Thoughts: Just before taking this quiz, I thought I shouldn’t bother filling it out at all. I am not a heroine, so anything I ended up with seems like it would not be accurate. But I am actually rather pleased with this outcome. True, I didn’t like the second book much and stopped reading after it, I still like Cassia, torn between what society expects and what she feels deep down is true and right. To me, she seemed curious, clever, and secretive. Her bravery comes from what she needs to do, not because she wants to take charge or because she is bold by nature. And I do like the color green.
I was honestly not all that excited about the new Starz Outlander series. It was really neat that one of my favorite book series was being turned into a series finally. And the trailer looked good, but no one and nothing matched my mental images (and having read the first few books of the series more than a handful of times each, I have some strong mental images). So I really couldn’t get excited about it. Plus, I don’t have Starz or the money to subscribe to a premium channel, so even if I loved it, I would have to wait to watch it. Luck, however, was on my side and I was able to watch the first episode this weekend. And… so…
The very nature of this list means… SPOILERS AHEAD!!!! Consider yourself warned!
Quiz: Which Star Wars Character Are You?
Thoughts: Huh. Interesting. Not in a million years would I have ever seen comparisons between Han Solo and me. I think I’m more like pretty much any other character, actually. Okay, yes, I can be sharp, resourceful, and independent at times. I’m good at heart and, okay, I like furry friends. But… I think that’s it. I’d never be a smuggler or shady or even remotely scoundrel-like! What a strange result. I was secretly hoping for R2-D2.
Another catch at the 50th Anniversary event.
I love that this one also has the NASA logo; how appropriate!
