For the month of April, I’m breaking out of my usual “format” and showcasing one of my favorite fandoms a day, so I will have shiny things to make me smile every day of my birthday month. When I sat down to write the list of my top 30 fandoms, I found the task terribly hard. How do I choose just 30? My apologies to all my beloved fandoms left off the list. I’m using random.org to determine what fandom gets what day.

How I Got Into It: I was washing dishes as a young teen and was allowed to watch TV while washing… so I made the washing last a while (the dishes are soaking!). I came across a super late night repeat/re-broadcast of an episode. Reformed vampire with guilt? Yes please!
Fangirl Intensity (scale of 1 to 10 with 10=full-out obsessed): 6
How I Fangirl: I’ve written a fanfic or two, but they were terrrrrrible. I own all the seasons and some lovely glossy promo photos of various cast members. I taped all the eps off the tv at the time and watched them many times over.
Favorite Fandom Creation: I’ve read a few fanfics and seen some fanvids. I don’t think I have a favorite though. Any recs?
Why I’m Glad I Fangirl It: This show hit me at the right time in my life (i.e. it was my version of Twilight, only this is much better written!). I loved the flashbacks, the morality, the deep relationships between characters, and I still tear up a little thinking of the last episode. I wasn’t as fond of the major cast change between seasons 2 and 3, but season 3 definitely had its moments as well.
